The Philadelphia Streets Department has announced that they are once again conducting the wildly successful Tire Round-Up Program this summer! If you see discarded tires on your block (or anywhere else around the neighborhood), send a quick email to clean@newboldneighbors.org to let us know. We'll be driving a pickup truck (generously donated by ZipCar) around August 6th to pick up any tires that are sent in.
Any help you can give will directly help Newbold Neighbors, as the city is donating 50 cents per tire to our group. The money will go to help us maintain the gardens around DiSilvestro, and to perform some much needed tree care around the neighborhood.
